San Diego Events Lighting Company enjoyed designing and hanging the backdrop with ceiling drapes for our esteemed client. The color of the backdrop and ceiling draping was a light ivory. The wedding reception was held at Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla and was stunning. We provided light amber uplights as well to add another element of color to the design. We recommended the backdrop to our client since she didn’t want to see the upstairs seating area. The backdrop covered the back wall where the seats were located. To add a whimsical and romantic touch we also recommended 3 panels of light ivory chiffon ceiling draping. The addition of the ceiling drapes really brought the design together, thus giving our client the whimsical, elegant look she was after. The light amber uplights were the finishing touch to the design, providing that splash of subtle color that tied in beautifully with our clients wedding theme colors. Our client couldn’t be happier with the backdrop with ceiling drapes. She received many compliments throughout the night. From a production perspective the backdrop is 23 feet tall and the ceiling draping is 40 feet long. We had to design a way to hang the backdrop and ceiling draping in a beautiful but secure manner. We were thrilled with the outcome and look forward to providing our future clients with this draping package. The backdrop and ceiling drapes transform the indoor space at Scripps Seaside Forum. Changing the space from an educational forum to a beautiful, elegant wedding reception space.
In addition to the backdrop with ceiling drapes, we also strung market lights from the trellis to the palm trees. The market lights lit up the outdoor grass area and cast a soft glow creating the romantic ambiance our client was after. We used free standing poles that were covered in material. Our market light strings include rigging cable. The cable insures that the market light strings have the support needed and that the bulbs hang uniformly. In conclusion, our client was very happy, mission accomplished! The event was a success! If you enjoyed this blog post, check out these blog posts from past events.
