Martin Johnson House La Jolla, sparkled with Market String Lights and Foliage Uplights

San Diego Events Lighting had the pleasure of working with our beautiful couple Sam and Marie Adams. It was so much fun to see how our Market Lights and LED Uplights transformed the Martin Johnson House. The lighting provided the warmth and romantic ambiance the space needed since it was quite a cold and windy day. The grounds and trees at the venue are beautiful and dramatic and our Battery powered Uplights were able to capture their beauty. We enjoyed working with the Scripps Forum Team, Matt Anderson and Donna Stout, and also Cassiopeia Guthrie, who provided wedding coordination for Sam and Marie.

Market String Lights and beautiful chiffon draping at the Japanese Friendship Gardens.

One of favorite venues to light up is the Japanese Friendship Gardens, located in beautiful Balboa Park.

Our elegantly uplit Truss Towers and Market String Lights fit perfectly within the Ceremonial Plaza space, and gave added light and ambiance to Taylor and Todd’s wedding reception. The Chiffon Draping with the Japanese Paper Lanterns completed the design and worked well with the look and feel of the venue.

This lighting design included three Uplit Truss Towers, Chiffon Draping, and Market Light Stringers. We tucked wireless LED uplights in amongst the trees to highlight the beautiful foliage. White Japanese Paper Lanterns in all the same size created the beautiful and harmonious look that we wanted for Taylor & Todd’s wedding.

It’s always a pleasure working with the staff at the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Thank you!

Beautiful Purple Uplighing at The Prado for Sarah and Kyle’s Fairytale Wedding

Did you hear about the romantic proposal on the Ellen Degeneres show that launched a fairytale wedding here in San Diego?

Kyle went to great lengths to make his girlfriend Sarah’s dream of being on the Ellen Degeneres Show a reality. He sent in a sentimental video to Ellen, professing his love of Sarah, whom he met on Match.com. Ellen invited Sarah to be guest on her show, and arranged for Kyle to pop the question during the interview. But as a surprise to both the happy couple, Ellen contacted Match.com and they joined in to give them the wedding of their dreams!

San Diego Events Lighting was honored to be the chosen lighting company for this beautiful wedding that was held at The Prado in Balboa Park. Keli Christenson from Crown Weddings and the amazing team at the Prado did a fantastic job putting together such a spectacular event.

Sarah and Kyle chose our Hot Purple uplights which we placed around the entire ballroom to compliment their Ivory and Lavender color scheme.

The Japanese Friendship Garden is a magical place, full of harmony and balance. It’s the perfect location to have a private event that can host up to 200 of your closest friends and family.

The Ceremonial Plaza comes alive when we create 2 stunning lighted truss towers that hold aloft 6-8 Market String Lights.

These strings can be decorated with colorful Japanese Paper Lanterns to highlight your reception theme from above and below.
